Sautéed Potatoes with Cumin

Freely inspired by my mother who makes them this way... I have always eaten them as a child, so what a surprise when I saw them on the menu in every restaurant during my trip to India! It may seem strange, but try it, it's delicious; they are also welcome on brunch tables.

 10 Potatoes
 5 Caraway Seeds
 Grapeseed oil
 Salt
 Pepper
Directions

Peel and cut the potatoes into large cubes.

Sauté the caraway seeds in oil until they are golden and slightly pop. They release a delicious aroma.

Add the potatoes and be sure not to stir too quickly so they can brown nicely. Then stir them occasionally until fully cooked.

Finally, remove them and season to your taste.

    Delicious and easy Very good, the kids have a bit of trouble with the spices but ate it. My suggestion: Less spice... or with different ones... For the kids, of course...

    Caraway and cumin are two different plants. Caraway, darker in color, is found in Northern Europe; cumin, lighter in color, comes from the broader region of the East. Caraway tends to be referred to as cumin in certain areas.

    Algerian version In Algeria, we make this with carrots and also liver, and it’s delicious!!!
