A recipe for visually appealing and easy-to-make apple tarts.
Wipe the apples well. Slice them into thin slices. Place the apple slices in a mixing bowl. Pour in the lemon juice and sprinkle with brown sugar. Mix.
Preheat your oven to 200°. Arrange your apple slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Place in the oven for 10 minutes. Set aside.
In the meantime, roll out your puff pastry. Cut out shapes resembling apples using a template. Place them on a baking mat or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Create the leaves and small stems for the apples. Gently attach the leaves and the small stem to the apple.
Using a spoon, gently press down on the inside, leaving about a 2 cm space on the sides. Poke the center with a fork. Arrange your apple slices on the dough to recreate one half of an apple.
Finally, brush with egg yolk. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C. Brush with sugar syrup once out of the oven. Enjoy!
