Mascarpone cups with caramel and delicious bananas, a festive indulgent dessert that is budget-friendly, made with mascarpone that will impress. A pure delight, a festive dessert but not only that.
The caramel: Place the sugar and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Bring to a simmer without stirring. Let it caramelize over medium heat for 10 minutes until the caramel is syrupy. Heat the cream and gently pour it into the caramel. Remove from heat, stir, then add the rum. Mix and return to low heat, stirring until the caramel is smooth. Let cool to room temperature. Set aside.
The cream: Whip the cream and the mascarpone into a firm whipped cream with honey. Set aside in the fridge. Slice the bananas. Place a bit of caramel at the bottom of each glass. Add the whipped cream. Arrange banana slices on top of the cream. Finish with caramel and caramel pearls. Enjoy!
