Delight your guests with this delicious recipe for madeleines with a creamy heart of cocoa hazelnut spread. Photo credit: Aurélie Bresset.
Butter and flour a madeleine mold, tapping out the excess flour.
In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar. In a separate bowl, sift the flour and baking powder, then add to the mixture. Incorporate the milk and vanilla, then the melted butter. Mix just enough.
Refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours. This will allow the madeleines to rise while baking.
Preheat the oven to 200° using conventional heat.
Fill the madeleine molds two-thirds full. Add a small teaspoon of spreadable filling at the center of each mold.
To finish, bake for about 12 minutes (adjust according to your oven). Let cool on a rack before enjoying.
