Here is an excellent recipe for a bean stew with potatoes, artichokes, and ham! This dish is rich in both vitamins and flavors.

 500 Fresh shelled fava beans (or frozen)
 4 Tender baby artichoke
 1 Onion
 2 Country ham
 2 Potato
 1 Flour
 Salt
 Pepper

Start by preparing the vegetables. Shell the beans and wash them in cold water. Remove the tough leaves from the artichokes to keep only the tender hearts, which you will cut into quarters. Peel the potatoes and onion. Cut the ham into pieces.

Sauté the onion, ham, and potatoes in a little oil for 10 minutes. Add the tablespoon of flour. Stir well. Add the beans, artichokes, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together.

To finish, cover the vegetables with water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let simmer until the vegetables are cooked, about 35 minutes.

    Frozen It seems to me that frozen fava beans do not need to be peeled. My suggestion: I also use frozen artichoke hearts.
