Discover this recipe for semolina cake with honey, soaked in syrup and sprinkled with almonds or coconut.
Preparation of the dish: Preheat the oven to 180°C. Butter a baking dish and sprinkle with fine semolina.
Preparation of the dough In a bowl, crack the 2 whole eggs, add half a glass of sugar, and vanilla, then mix well.
Add the milk, oil, fine semolina, baking powder, and mix.
Cooking Pour the mixture into the mold and place it in the oven at 180°C until it dries (about 30 minutes).
Preparation of the syrup In a saucepan, bring half a glass of water, half a glass of sugar, and honey to a boil, then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Finish by pouring the syrup over the basboussa as soon as it comes out of the oven. Allow it to cool slightly and cut out circles using a cookie cutter. Sprinkle with coconut, hazelnuts, or almonds.
