Here is a delicious peach pie recipe that smells like summer! Juicy and flavorful peaches enhanced by a hint of orange blossom. We love it!
Preparing the puff pastry Start by preheating your oven to 170°C. Carefully place the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Next, in order to blind bake it, place a second baking sheet on top of the pastry to prevent it from rising too much during baking. Bake for about 15 minutes, until the pastry is lightly golden.
Preparation of the peaches While the dough is baking, prepare your peaches. Start by washing them thoroughly. Once clean, cut them in half, remove the pits, and then slice them thinly. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat until it turns a nice golden color.
Assembly of the tart: Take the puff pastry out of the oven once it is partially baked. Evenly sprinkle the surface of the pastry with breadcrumbs. This will help absorb the juices from the peaches during baking. Then arrange the peach slices on the pastry, slightly overlapping them. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the peaches with melted butter. Finally, sprinkle with brown sugar to add a delicious sweet touch.
Baking the peach tart Bake the tart again for about 25 minutes, until the peaches are tender and the crust is golden brown. Once baking is complete, drizzle the tart with orange blossom water to gently flavor the dessert.
