The melted snowman cookies that I made with my little one to give as gifts. Cute and fun little treats.

Prep Time15 minsCook Time12 minsTotal Time27 mins
Ingredients
 250 Flour
 50 Sugar
 150 Butter
 20 Hazelnut powder
 1 Egg
 1 Pinch of salt
 150 Powdered sugar
1 lemon juice or 2 tablespoons of water
Directions
1

Sandy biscuit. Mix the sugar and butter in a mixer or by hand. Add the egg, flour, and ground nuts, and form a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

2

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5mm and cut out circles using a 7 cm diameter cookie cutter. Bake for about 12 minutes. Let cool. You will have leftover dough, either to make more cookie shapes or to use other cookie cutters for Christmas cookies, or you can freeze it.

3

Royal icing. In a bowl, mix the powdered sugar and egg white, then add the lemon juice. Adjust the amount of powdered sugar if necessary until you achieve a consistency that is neither too runny nor too thick.

4

When the cookies have cooled, pour a spoonful of royal icing on each, without spreading it, and immediately place a marshmallow on top. Let the icing "crust" at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes. I left it for 3 hours.

5

Then draw the nose, eyes, mouth, bow tie, and buttons with a food coloring pencil on these melted snowmen!
