The true recipe for cookies like I had on the other side of the Atlantic: crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside! My secret? Brown sugar mixed with oatmeal flakes... but shhh!

Yields6 Servings
Prep Time30 minsCook Time12 minsTotal Time42 mins
Dry mix
 180 Flour
120 Oat flakes ground into powder in a blender
 1 Baking soda
 5 Salt
 1 Baking powder
 1 Vanilla powder
 2 Chocolate chips
Liquid mixture
 110 Soft butter
 110 Brown sugar
 70 Sugar
 1 Egg
 2 Peanut butter
Decoration
 175 M's intense chocolate
Directions
1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a large bowl, combine and mix all the dry ingredients.

2

In a second bowl, whisk the butter until creamy. Add the sugar and brown sugar, the peanut butter, and then the egg. Mix everything with the dry ingredients.

3

Make balls (not too big as the cooked dough is quite dense) placing them 3 cm apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then flatten them with the palm of your hand. Add 3 candies per cookie, reshaping the cookies if this step has caused them to spread a bit.

4

To finish, bake at 180°C for 12 minutes or until the cookies start to brown (keep an eye on them). They should not be completely set when taken out of the oven; this is normal! Don't worry, they will harden while cooling but will remain chewy on the inside, which is how I like them!! Let them cool a bit before removing them from the tray and completely cool before enjoying (ideally, make them the day before tasting).
