This nut cake evokes sweet childhood memories at grandmother's house. The nut cake that my mom has been making since I was little: a delight! With its tender texture and subtle aroma of nuts, it reminds one of the warmth of a cozy home. Easy to prepare, this classic recipe requires only basic ingredients and a bit of patience. In just a few easy steps, you will have a delicious cake perfect for an afternoon snack or dessert.

A tea cup for measuring.
 2 cups Flour
 1 cup Sugar
 ¾ cup Oil
 3 Egg
 1 Baking powder
 1 cup Very finely ground nuts
 20 Walnut halves for decoration
 Jam or honey (optional)
Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add the eggs and mix well.

Incorporate the oil into the dough in two stages. Then, add the finely chopped nuts. Mix well; you will obtain a fairly thick dough.

Butter a bundt pan and pour in the cake batter.

Bake in a hot oven at 180°C for 25 minutes. Insert a knife into the cake; if it comes out clean, it is done.

To finish, unmold and let cool on a rack. Decorate with walnut halves. Enjoy this walnut cake plain, or for those with a sweet tooth, serve with jam or honey.

    WALNUT CAKE original recipe 75g of walnuts, 125g of butter, 175g of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar, 3 eggs, 175g of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars until fluffy, add the eggs one by one while mixing, then stir in the roughly chopped walnuts along with the flour and baking powder, mixing gently. Pour the mixture into a well-greased and floured mold, bake in the oven at medium heat for 45 minutes, then unmold onto a cooling rack and let it cool. In the meantime, melt 50g of dark chocolate and 25g of butter in a double boiler for the frosting, and decorate with halved walnut halves.

    For my part, I reduced the oil by half and added a tablespoon of flower honey, which is not too strong, to the dough. I also increased the cooking time by an additional 5 minutes for crispiness. A delight!!!

    Quick Good recipe, very simple and quick. Useful for little setbacks. My suggestion: I would use a little less oil for my next attempt.
