A good recipe for Easter cake, found on the box of the mold. It contains butter, but after several recipe trials, this is the one I prefer, for its taste and texture.

Yields3 Servings
Prep Time15 minsCook Time40 minsTotal Time55 mins
Ingredients
 100 Sugar
 100 Butter or margarine
 60 Flour
 60 Cornstarch
 1 Vanilla sugar
 1 Baking powder
 2 Egg
 1 pinch Salt
 60 Chopped nuts (optional)
Lemon zest or vanilla extract or 1 teaspoon of rum (optional, for flavoring)
Directions
1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).

2

Brush the inside of the mold with softened butter everywhere using a pastry brush, then flour it and remove the excess. Set the molds aside in the refrigerator while preparing the dough.

3

Melt the butter very slightly or use very soft, spreadable butter. In a mixing bowl, put the sugar, vanilla sugar, and melted butter, and mix well. Add the eggs, beat again, (the flavoring, nuts or hazelnuts, zest... if you are using them) then finally sifted flour, cornstarch, and baking powder, salt, and mix well; the dough is very thick and should be homogeneous.

4

Close the mold, place the dough inside using a spoon, starting from the back; the dough will spread out gradually. Set the mold on the tray, on the lower level of the oven. Let it bake for about 40 minutes.

5

When you take it out of the oven, wait 5 minutes, then carefully unmold the cake.

6

To finish, generously sprinkle with powdered sugar.
