A comforting autumn soup recipe. Let’s prepare a soup that will make you want to have seconds. Change the flavors of your traditional soups with this recipe that includes chestnuts, cheese, and smoked bacon.
Brown the slices of smoked bacon in the oven on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 10 to 15 minutes; they should be crispy.
Sauté the chopped onion with a little butter for a few minutes in a saucepan or a pot.
Add the chestnuts, mix, then add the broth. Let simmer over medium heat for about fifteen minutes. Add the grated cheese and continue cooking for 5 more minutes.
Blend, adjust the seasoning, and thin out with a little cream if the consistency is too thick.
To finish, serve hot with crispy bacon slices and shavings of cheese on top.
