Pea pods can be cooked in various ways. Here is a zero-waste recipe for pea pod soup.
Wash the pea pods and remove the strings.
Peel and slice the onions. Peel, wash, and cut the carrot into rounds.
Pour the pods, carrot, onions, bay leaf, and vegetable bouillon cube into a saucepan. Cover with water to the appropriate level and cook for about 10 minutes.
To finish, remove the bay leaf. Strain the broth through a sieve.
