These cinnamon waffles are enjoyable both as a snack, with post-meal tea, or even for breakfast. They fill the home with a delicious aroma that tempts us to indulge.
In the bowl of the mixer, place the flour and brown sugar. Add the butter, the egg, and the cinnamon, and mix for another 1 to 2 minutes until the dough is smooth.
Place the contents of the bowl on plastic wrap (make a sort of patty so that the dough cools more quickly) and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
Cut the dough into 2 or 3 pieces, shape them into logs, wrap them in plastic wrap, and let them chill again for 1 hour.
When the dough is cold, plug in your waffle maker (with the thin waffle plates).
Take the first roll of dough and cut pieces about 1cm thick.
Place the dough circles in the waffle maker (I put 2 in each slot), close the appliance, and let cook for 2 to 3 minutes until you get a nice color.
Finally, carefully remove the formed waffles and let them cool on a flat rack. Repeat the process until the batter is used up.
