I was invited for snack time and I had several cans of pineapple in syrup at home, so I wanted to make a recipe with this cake. Not knowing what to do with the juice, I used it to soak the cake. I added rum because I think it goes well with the pineapple, but the rum is optional.
Put the whole eggs in a bowl, the yeast, the sugar, the oil, the flour, the ground nuts, the rum (optional), and the water. Mix well.
Butter and flour your pan and sprinkle with sugar so that it caramelizes during cooking.
Then garnish with slices of pineapple in syrup or pineapple chunks in syrup. Be sure to save the syrup from the can.
Cook for about 45 minutes at 160°C.
Once cooked, pour the pineapple juice over the warm cake.
Finally, wait for the cake to cool and turn it out onto a plate. Enjoy!
