Ingredients
 145 Butter
 90 Brown sugar
 3 eggs
 1 packet of baking powder
 1 liquid vanilla
 2 vanilla pods
 150 dark chocolate
 50 Milk
 170 Flour
Directions
1

Preheat the oven to 180°.

2

In a bowl, mix the butter and brown sugar with a spatula to obtain a cream. Separate the egg whites and yolks. Add the yolks to the butter-sugar mixture. Then add the milk, flour, and baking powder. Mix well to achieve a smooth and homogeneous mixture.

3

Then beat the egg whites until stiff. Add a spoonful of the egg whites to the mixture, whisking vigorously to loosen the batter. Gently fold in the remaining egg whites so as not to deflate them. You should have a smooth and homogeneous batter.

4

Divide the dough into two equal parts: In one part, add the vanilla (liquid and seeds from the pods) and mix. In the other part, add the chocolate that you have melted beforehand (in a double boiler or microwave). My tip is not to melt it completely and to keep some small pieces of chocolate that will be gooey when out of the oven (and it will add even more indulgence).

5

Grease a loaf pan. Pour in the batter, alternating between the vanilla batter and the chocolate batter. My son was the one pouring, so I let him do it as he wished; it didn't matter whether the stripes were perfect.

6

To finish, bake for about 35 to 40 minutes (depending on your oven: when the cake is done, if you insert a knife, it should come out dry).
