A delicious and spicy vegetarian burger recipe that you won't be able to resist.
Slice the red onions into thick rings and sauté them with butter and sugar. Set aside.
Wash the zucchinis and peel the sweet potatoes. Grate both using a coarse grater. Drain the chickpeas and roughly mash half of them with a pestle. Place everything in a bowl.
Add the egg, flour, breadcrumbs, chives, garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix everything together until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Form the burgers and fry in oil. Briefly drain on paper towels.
Toast the burger buns in the oven or toaster. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and mayonnaise.
