Start by thawing the cuttlefish strips in advance if using frozen.
Sauté the squid slices in a little olive oil for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add the finely chopped onions.
Sprinkle with chili powder and drizzle with a splash (about 1 to 2 tablespoons). Add the rinsed and drained mushrooms and the tomato paste. Moisten with white wine and mix well to dilute the tomato paste.
To finish, cook for 10 to 15 minutes over medium heat and add the cream. Cook for another 5 minutes and serve ideally with white rice.
