Indulgent pancakes served with a spread to try for Candlemas. A recipe to enjoy.
Melt the butter, but do not heat it too much.
In a mixing bowl or in your mixer’s bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix everything together.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs and the butter. Add vanilla if desired. Pour this mixture over your dry ingredients (flour, salt, etc.). And mix by hand or with a mixer.
For cooking, heat your pan to medium temperature. Add butter to grease it, and once your pan is hot, add about 80 g of pancake batter.
Cook until the edges look cooked and start to bubble. Flip your pancake and cook the other side (cook for about 1 minute on each side). Grease your skillet for each pancake cooked.
To finish, spread some hazelnut spread and enjoy your pancakes!
