These delicious fried chicken noodles originate from Indonesia. Mi Goreng literally means "fried noodles." (There is also Nasi Goreng, which means "fried rice.")
Prepare all the vegetables: peel and slice the onion and shallots. Peel, wash, and cut the carrots into sticks. Wash and slice the cabbage. Wash and cut the red cabbage into strips. Wash and separate the florets of broccoli. Peel and grate the ginger. Wash the beans. Remove the seeds from the chili and cut it into thin strips.
In a wok or skillet, heat the oil with the chopped onion and shallots until they are golden. Add the diced chicken and sauté until the meat is caramelized.
Add the jar of sauce and the carrot sticks. Sauté for about 4 minutes. Add the remaining vegetables except for the scallions. Cook for 5 minutes. Cook the yellow noodles according to the manufacturer's instructions (about 3 minutes in boiling water). Once the noodles are cooked, drain them, drizzle with sesame oil, and stir-fry in a wok or pan for 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add them to the wok with the chicken and vegetables. Drizzle with sweet soy sauce and stir. Mix everything well. Once everything is well combined, serve in deep plates and add the chopped green onions. Enjoy your meal!
