To add zest to your recipes, grapefruit is the ideal citrus to enhance your homemade appetizers, such as this recipe for fresh goat cheese toast with grapefruit, accompanied by asparagus and cured ham. Perfect for enjoying as an appetizer.
Peel the asparagus with a peeler and cut off the end of the stalk.
Bring salted water to a boil in a skillet (its diameter allows for easy cooking of the asparagus whole).
Dip the asparagus and let cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove them when they are tender.
Let cool.
Cut the grapefruit into segments.
Toast the slices of bread in the toaster.
Spread with fresh goat cheese.
Spread the cured ham, asparagus, and grapefruit sections.
To finish, drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
