A recipe for duck breast with figs marinated in honey and olive oil.
Wash and then cut the figs into quarters. Place them in a mixing bowl. Add the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, and four spices. Mix and let marinate during the cooking of the duck breasts.
Score the skin of the duck breasts with a sharp knife. Season them and sear them skin-side down in a large pan over high heat. Let them grill for 10 to 12 minutes.
Drain the fat from the pan, flip the fillets, and cook for another 10 minutes.
Remove the duck breasts and place them on a plate. Cover them with a sheet of aluminum foil. Pour the figs and their marinade into the pan. Sauté them for 5 minutes.
To finish, return the duck breasts to the pan and reheat for a few minutes. Serve immediately.
