Hibiscus juice is a refreshing African drink made with dried hibiscus flowers.
Bring the water to a boil and add the hibiscus flowers. Let cook for 20 to 25 minutes covered. After 25 minutes, add the mint leaves, remove from heat and let cool completely.
Then pour into a strainer to filter and add the vanilla extract, strawberry syrup, and granulated sugar, mixing well. Check to taste if it’s sweet enough. Pour into a bottle and refrigerate.
To finish, serve with ice. You can also drink it hot. The juice is slightly tangy with a subtle aroma of red fruits, reminiscent of cranberry.
