Cook this quick and tasty recipe for the iconic dish of gastronomy: duck with orange. A flavor explosion guaranteed!
Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F).
Cut the duck legs in half, peel the onions, and cut them into large pieces. Cut the orange into slices.
In a pot with a lid, brown the pieces of duck in a tablespoon of olive oil. Then remove the duck thighs.
In the pot, sauté the onion and the orange slices. Add the sugar, honey, white wine, and caramelize. Then pour in the orange juice.
Put the duck thighs back and add the bay leaf.
Season with salt and pepper, add 1/4 liter of water, pour into an ovenproof dish, then cover and bake for 45 minutes in the oven covered with aluminum foil.
To finish, serve the duck thighs on a flat plate, accompanied by sautéed potatoes.
