This recipe for duck breast with orange and spices is presented.
Squeeze an orange and collect the juice.
Cut the other orange zestlessly and segment it. Peel and thinly slice the onion.
Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crosshatch pattern. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook skin side down in a pan for 7 minutes on each side. Meanwhile, pour the orange juice into a saucepan with the honey and the onion and mix.
Add the star anise and the spice mixture, heat it up. Add the orange segments.
Cut the slices into quarters and arrange them on the plates.
Add the orange segments, onions, and spices beautifully to the plates.
Pour the sauce immediately over the slices of duck.
Finally, add a pinch of four spice blend through a sieve and serve immediately.
