Chicken Drumsticks Wrapped in Bacon Recipe

An original way to cook chicken drumsticks. A very flavorful recipe (rosemary, thyme, white wine...) that is very popular!

Ingredients
 8 chicken drumsticks
 6 large potatoes
 3 rosemary
 10 cloves garlic
 2 white wine
 olive oil

Preheat the oven to 200°C (thermostat 7). Remove the skin from the drumsticks. Wrap each drumstick with a slice of bacon, stretching it well and securing it with kitchen string or a wooden skewer (which is faster).

Wash the potatoes well. Cut them in half lengthwise.

Arrange the drumsticks in the baking dish (I place them in the drip pan), mixed with the halved potatoes that should rest at the bottom, whole garlic cloves, and rosemary chopped into small pieces. Season with pepper and salt, pour in the wine. Drizzle with a thin stream of oil.

To finish, bake for 45 minutes. Halfway through cooking, baste with white wine, a little oil, and turn the drumsticks.

    Good combination, cook for 1 hour at 200 degrees with convection heat and grill for 5 minutes at the end for crispiness, and the potatoes (cut into quarters lengthwise) a nice sauce thanks to the olive oil, garlic, and rosemary (I also added bay leaves for a few minutes).

    Very good Loved by the whole family - Will make again without moderation My suggestion: I added plenty of herbs (paprika - thyme - bay leaf - mixed herbs) onto the potatoes.

    Chicken drumsticks with bacon VERY GOOD and simple. To make again without moderation My suggestion: I added a few slices of tomato to the dish.

    Good idea A good idea to pair bacon and chicken, but fatty fresh bacon or the fatty cuts are sometimes difficult to find, if not impossible, in large stores. My suggestion: A variation with smoked bacon should be nice. One can also debone the drumstick and insert a dollop of blue cheese cream before closing it up. Quite original and flavorful.

    Very good It's good, but I replaced the bacon with smoked ham; I find it less fatty.
