The famous oven-baked churros recipe, a light and crispy version of this popular dessert. Easy to prepare, these treats will please the whole family!
Prepare the dough. In a saucepan, bring water, butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla to a boil. Remove from heat and add the flour all at once. Mix vigorously until a smooth dough forms that comes away from the sides.
Incorporate the eggs. Let it cool slightly, then add the eggs one by one, mixing well between each addition until the dough is smooth and shiny.
Preheat the oven to 200 °C (gas mark 6-7) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Shape the churros. Fill a piping bag with the dough and form "U" shapes to create the churros, spacing them well apart.
Bake the churros for 20 to 25 minutes, until they are golden and crispy.
Coat the churros. Meanwhile, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a dish. Once out of the oven, roll the hot churros in this mixture to coat them well.
Serve and enjoy. Serve the churros warm, accompanied by hot chocolate for dipping.
