Recipe for Chicken Souvlaki Skewers on the Barbecue

Today I propose Greek chicken skewers. I cooked them on the barbecue, but you can also cook them in the oven. The meat is tender and juicy, flavored just right. A simple, healthy, economical, and delicious meal.

Meat:
 1 Chicken breasts
Marinade:
 80 Olive oil
 15 Lemon juice
 8 cloves Garlic
 2 Dried oregano
 1 Coarse salt
 ½ Crushed pepper
Yogurt and herb sauce:
 150 Greek yogurt
 1 Chopped parsley
 1 pinch Salt
 1 pinch Pepper

Cut the chicken into pieces about 3 cm.

In a large bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients. Add the chicken pieces and toss well to coat. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours and up to overnight (overnight for me).

Thread the pieces of meat onto skewers; I got 9. If they are wooden, remember to soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand to ensure they are properly moistened.

Grill on the barbecue on all sides.

Meanwhile, prepare the yogurt and herb sauce. In a bowl, mix the yogurt with the remaining marinade and chopped parsley. Add salt and pepper to taste.

To finish, serve the skewers hot, accompanied by sauce, fries, and vegetables.
