Today I offer you a saucy dish with sausages. I used traditional sausages with sea salt, but you can also use other sausages. It's an easy and economical dish that has been very well received by my family.

Yields4 Servings
Prep Time15 minsCook Time25 minsTotal Time40 mins
Ingredients
 3 oil (1 2)
 900 sausages
 2 onions
 ¼ Salt
 2 cloves Garlic
 2 tomato paste
1 dried thyme (or herbs de Provence)
 40 Flour
600 beef broth (or chicken broth, 2 cubes and 600 ml of boiling water)
 ½ Pepper
 1 chopped parsley
Directions
1

Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of oil. Brown the sausages on all sides. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

2

Prepare all the ingredients. Peel the onions, cut them in half, and then slice them finely. Peel and chop the garlic. Prepare the beef broth. Chop the parsley.

3

Lower the heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of oil to the pan, along with the onions and salt. Cook for about 5 minutes, until the onions are caramelized, stirring constantly.

4

Add the garlic, tomato paste, thyme, and cook for 1 minute more, stirring. Then do the same with the flour.

5

Add the broth gradually, in 4-5 portions, while dissolving the flour. Mix well before each addition to homogenize the mixture. Scrape the bits from the pan.

6

Bring the sauce to a boil. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes or until it thickens slightly.

7

Season with salt and pepper to taste. I didn't need to add more salt, just pepper.

8

Add the sausages and coat them with sauce. Let cook for 1-2 minutes.

9

To finish, serve immediately, sprinkled with parsley, alongside mashed potatoes.

Excellent recipe: very good, well-prepared, and yet quick! Ideal when you take frozen sausages out without overthinking it (they thaw in the pan) and super economical depending on the sausages. A real find, thank you!
