An ultra soft and melting cake that everyone loves. Fans of caramelized fresh pears will not be able to resist it! This grandmother’s pear cake can also be made with canned pears or can be adapted with chocolate! Plus, it is quick to make and original. In short, we love it!

Ingredients
 2 large pears
 15 sugar
 2 eggs
 100 powdered sugar
 100 butter
 100 flour
 ½ baking powder
Directions
1

Preparation of the caramel In a small saucepan, prepare the caramel with the 15 pieces of sugar soaked in water. When it is golden, pour it into a mold.

2

Preparation of fresh pears Peel and core the pears, then slice them into thick pieces. Arrange them at the bottom of the pan over the caramel.

3

Preparation of the cake batter In a bowl, work the butter with a wooden spatula until creamy, add the sugar, mix well, and incorporate the whole eggs one by one. Mix the baking powder and flour together and gradually add them to the mixture. If you have leftover pieces of pears, you can mix them into the batter.

4

Baking the pear cake Pour the mixture into the mold without disturbing the pieces of pear and bake for 25-30 minutes at 180°C. Check for doneness by inserting the tip of a knife, which should come out dry.

5

Serve immediately after taking it out of the oven by inverting the mold onto a serving platter.
