It's a very refreshing, fragrant, and fruity cocktail; I really enjoyed it. Plus, it's very easy and quick to prepare. You can also make it non-alcoholic for your children.
In a large glass (440 ml for me), add the rum (for the alcoholic version), the strawberries without the stems, mint leaves, and brown sugar. Mix by mashing the strawberries and leaves with a muddler.
Cut the lime in half, remove 3 slices. Add 2 slices to the glass and keep one for presentation. Squeeze the juice from the 2 remaining halves into the glass. Muddle a little more and mix well.
To finish, add some ice cubes and fill to the top with cold sparkling water or lemonade. Mix. If you are using lemonade, you can reduce the amount of sugar, using only one tablespoon instead of two.
Garnish the glass with a strawberry, a slice of lemon, and mint, and serve immediately with a straw.
