At our place, we really enjoy warm open-faced sandwiches. Whether it’s for an appetizer, a buffet, or a light dinner, they are always a hit. These sandwiches are wholesome and balanced. I made large versions for practicality, but nothing prevents you from preparing them as small bites for an appetizer.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan) or 200°C (static).
Place the slices of bread on a tray with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Distribute the butter cut into thin slices over them.
Sprinkle with a pinch of garlic powder.
Slice the tomatoes thinly and add them on the bread. Season with salt and pepper.
Slice the chicken breasts and add them on top of the tomatoes.
Peel, pit, and slice an avocado lengthwise. Place the slices on the chicken. Cover with slices of mozzarella.
Drizzle olive oil over each slice and sprinkle with herbs.
Bake and cook for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and browned.
To finish, drizzle with balsamic cream and serve immediately, as is or with a salad according to your preference.
