 250 whole wheat flour
 220 white flour
 1 Salt
 1 Baking powder
 280 Buttermilk in English is fermented milk, etc.
 1 Beaten egg

Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F.

Sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Add the buttermilk and the beaten egg to the mixture.

On a floured work surface, knead the dough until it becomes smooth. Shape it into a round and place it on a baking sheet. Score a cross on the top of the bread, then place it in the oven for 35-40 minutes.

To finish, serve it warm with butter... A delight! Enjoy it with organic smoked salmon.

    What amount of baking soda should we use? It is not mentioned in the ingredients but in the preparation!!! Thank you for clarifying.
