For a romantic meal or even a brunch for two, try this recipe for French toast with ham and brie. A real treat!
Cut the slices of bread into heart shapes. Mix the egg, milk, and Dijon mustard.
Season everything with a bit of salt and ground pepper. Melt a knob of butter in a large pan.
Soak the pieces of bread (on both sides) in the egg mixture, then sauté for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are crispy and golden.
In another skillet, melt a knob of butter, add the slices of pears, and drizzle everything with a little balsamic vinegar.
Cook the pears for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until they begin to caramelize.
To finish, place the slices of pears, creamy cheese, and ham between two pieces of French toast.
