Recipe for Soft Steamed Bread with Black Sesame Seeds and Cashews

Yields6 ServingsPrep Time15 minsCook Time1 minTotal Time16 mins

Steamed bread is ultra soft because it has risen well under the effect of steam.

Ingredients
140 organic whole grain rye flour
 140 organic buckwheat flour
2 organic black sesame seeds for decoration
 1 crushed organic cashews
 1 unrefined sugar (optional)
 2 eggs
1 organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar
 1 organic baking soda
 1 unrefined salt
 330 non-limestone spring water
Directions
1

Fill your steamer reservoir two-thirds full and heat the water.

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the two flours, psyllium, oat bran, black sesame seeds, crushed cashews, baking soda, baking powder, unrefined sugar, and salt.

3

Add the two eggs, the apple cider vinegar, and lastly, the spring water.

4

Mix this preparation with a wooden spoon and then work with your hands to obtain a thick and homogeneous dough.

5

Line your loaf pan with natural parchment paper. Pour the bread dough into the pan. Smooth the surface of the loaf pan well, and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.

6

Place your bread on the steamer's sieve.

7

Cover and let cook without lifting the lid for 60 minutes.

8

Then remove the bread from your steam cooker, take out the mold, and let it cool before slicing.

9

To finish TIP: I recommend slicing thin and even pieces and to toast them in a toaster.
