Sloe liqueur is an autumn delight that will please your taste buds. This traditional recipe allows you to transform these small wild fruits into a refined alcoholic drink. With a few simple ingredients like white wine, sugar, and just a little cinnamon, you will obtain a sweet and fragrant liqueur after several months of waiting. It's the perfect time to enjoy the sloes gathered during walks in the woods.
Wash and dry the fruits. Crush them in a saucepan without pitting, then bring to a boil for 15 minutes. Let the puree rest with cinnamon for 3 days in an airtight jar. Strain everything through a sieve. Pour the juice with sugar into a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil for 5 minutes while stirring. Let cool, then add the alcohol. Place the mixture back into an airtight jar and let it rest for 1 week. Strain with a paper filter and bottle. Allow to rest in a cool, dark place for 3 months.
