After roasting cauliflower whole or in florets, here it is sliced, also baked, but for much less time! It's very visually appealing. You can season it with any spice you want: I chose a Mexican blend with smoked paprika, but a Cajun mix, curry, cumin, etc. also work well. Cooked this way without water, the cauliflower smells really good.
Wash a beautiful cauliflower while keeping it whole and cut it into thick slices so that they do not break. You will get at least four nice slices. You will also use the small pieces that come off. Feel free to include the tender little leaves that remain around the cauliflower head as well.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Mix the spices (or herbs) in the olive oil.
Gently place the cauliflower slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a brush, coat them on both sides with this mixture.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, gently turning the slices (between two spatulas or with tongs). Test for doneness by inserting the blade of a knife.
To finish, while waiting to serve, you can keep the cauliflower warm between two sheets of aluminum foil in the warm oven.
