Today I propose puff pastry twists with hazelnut spread and nuts. It's really easy and quick to make and super delicious! You can use the spread of your choice and replace the nuts with hazelnuts if desired.
Preheat the oven to 200°C, static heat.
Unroll the puff pastry, keeping its parchment paper.
Spread the dough with the spread. You can heat it for a few seconds in the microwave beforehand to make it easier to spread.
Sprinkle the upper half of the dough with chopped nuts.
Fold over the other half of the dough, keeping the parchment paper. Press down well and roll over it gently with a rolling pin.
Remove the parchment paper from the surface and cut vertically into strips 2 cm wide.
In a small bowl, mix the egg yolk with the milk and generously brush the dough.
Make twists, spacing them out on the parchment paper. Slide the paper with the pastries onto a tray.
Bake for 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
To finish, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, preferably warm.
