A recipe that would be great as an appetizer for Christmas or New Year's!
Peel and chop the garlic and shallot. Rinse the basil or parsley and finely chop.
In a small saucepan, sauté the garlic and shallot with a little olive oil. Add the tomato puree, dried oregano, and chili powder. Season with salt and pepper. Adjust the spices to your taste. Let it simmer for 20 minutes.
In the meantime, cook the shrimp in a pan with a little olive oil for 2 or 3 minutes. Add them to the sauce, along with the cream and chopped basil or parsley. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.
To finish, divide the mixture into individual dishes and sprinkle with parmesan and chopped basil. Bake for a few minutes under the broiler and serve immediately with a piece of ciabatta.
