Discover my authentic recipe for farfalloni with peas, a classic Italian dish that combines the sweetness of peas with the al dente texture of farfalloni pasta. Perfect for a family meal or a dinner with friends. Easy and quick to prepare, it's the ideal choice for healthy and tasty cooking. Try it now and enjoy!
Preparation of peas Shell the peas. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cooking the pasta. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on your package – for me, with dry durum wheat pasta – it will be 11 minutes. While the pasta is cooking, steam your peas. I chose this particular type of pasta because they are made in Italy and often come in more unique shapes than basic pasta. Drain the pasta when it is cooked, reserving a little of the cooking water.
Dressing Mix the pesto with a little cooking water and combine with the pasta. Plate the dishes: add the pasta with the peas, sprinkle with cheese, and decorate with fresh basil leaves. This is a dish that can also be made with frozen peas out of season. Keep this in mind to vary the pleasures!
