Mix the flour, sugar, salt, vanilla, water, and softened butter to form a dough ball.
Roll out this dough on a floured surface, then brush it with icing (or a chocolate spread...). Sprinkle with brown sugar and roll the biscuit up.
Wrap the dough roll and let it rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Cut slices of dough about 1 cm thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about fifteen minutes at 180°C (350°F).
To finish, when they come out of the oven, the cookies will be a bit soft; they will harden as they cool on a rack.
