Discover this recipe for caramelized roasted pineapple with brown sugar. This easy-to-make dessert is very popular at home, especially with lemon thyme or verbena leaves if you have them; it's delicious.
Preparation of the pineapple. Cut the base and the crown of the pineapple, then slide the knife from top to bottom to remove the skin, cutting deep enough to remove the eyes. Once you have removed all the eyes, cut your pineapple into 4 pieces and remove the core.
Cooking In a pan, melt the salted butter and place the pineapple wedges in it, then sprinkle with brown sugar.
Serve by roasting the pineapple on all sides. Drizzle the pineapple with the fruit juice mixed with the thickened butter and sugar. If you like, you can add a splash of aged rum. Serve warm, with a scoop of rum raisin ice cream.
