Enjoy these two delicious recipes for fougasse: bacon/goat cheese and chicken/peppers.
Preparation of the bread dough. In the bowl of a mixer with the hook attachment, put the flour, water, and yeast. Knead the dough for 6 minutes at medium speed.
Remove the dough from the bowl and weigh 200 to 250 g of dough for each flatbread depending on the desired size.
Preparation of the filling. Blanch the strips in a saucepan with the curry, starting the cooking in cold water. Do the same with the bacon.
Make a ball with each piece of dough, then roll them out on the baking sheet, shaping them into an oval.
Spread some cream on the first layer, then distribute 3 pieces cut into thirds, the sliced bell pepper, and 2 mushrooms quartered.
On the lower half of the second dough, spread the pizza sauce. Distribute the smoked bacon evenly along the length. Season with a bit of oregano, then place the slices of goat cheese.
With a brush, moisten the edges with water. Fold down the top parts and make sure to firmly stick the edges together. Let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and place your baking mat on a perforated tray.
Using a sharp knife, make 3 cuts across the width of the upper half of each dough piece.
To finish, brush oil over the pasta and then sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes at 200°C (Gas mark 6-7).
