 60 Butter
 20 Fresh cream
 1 Egg
 2 pinches Salt and pepper
 4 pinches Parsley
 2 cloves Garlic
 2 Shallot

Preparation of the ingredients In a bowl, slice the potatoes into thin rounds. Season with salt and pepper. Chop the garlic, shallot, and parsley together. Add them to the potatoes. Mix.

Preparation of the dough Place a puff pastry in a tart pan. Roll it out enough to cover the edges of the pie. Fill with potatoes and sprinkle with small knobs of butter.

Assembly: Cover with three-quarters of the second puff pastry, remembering to create a vent. With the remaining pastry, prepare petals for the decoration of the pie.

Cooking: Brush the pastry with egg yolk. Bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 °C. Before serving, remove the lid and pour fresh cream over the potatoes. Replace the lid immediately. Serve.

    Very good! I used shortcrust pastry and I didn't add the butter since I didn't see it in the recipe... but a good potato dough cooks in 1 hour!

    No puff pastry for the truffle pie Delicious recipe that I got from my grandmother. Just a clarification, we don't make potato pie with puff pastry (even though it can be found that way in stores nowadays), but with a shortcrust pastry to which we add an egg yolk.

    Hats off! This is a genuine recipe from my region, the same as my mom's, so I'm going to make one for lunch today. Enjoy your meal, everyone! My suggestion: I arrange my potatoes overlapping a little to allow the cream to fit in between.

    Very good I've made hundreds of them, and everyone loves it! My suggestion: For mine, it's 200°C and 1 hour of cooking, 80 cl of cream (40% fat), granted, mine might be a bit higher than the one in the picture (depending on the dish), but above all, gently lift the potatoes at the edge with a fork to incorporate the cream, then push the potatoes back in (otherwise the edge will be drier); you can lift the potatoes from everywhere.
