Here is an iconic summer recipe: plum cake. This traditional dish combines a soft batter with the fruity flavors of plums.  450 Pitted prune
 4 Egg (large)
 50 Salted butter + a little fresh butter for the mold.
 ½ Milk
 100 Sugar
 125 Flour
 ½ Vanilla extract or powder

Preheat the oven to 210°C. Cut the plums in half to pit them and set aside. Mix the sugar and flour. Whisk the milk and eggs and incorporate the mixture into the flour. When the mixture is smooth, add the vanilla and cold melted butter.

To finish, place the halved plums at the bottom of the previously buttered dish. Bake for 10 minutes at 210°C and then continue for 45 minutes at 180°C. Serve warm or cold, lightly dusted with powdered sugar.
