Discover the recipe for Pie Crust, a true pastry chef recipe given to me by a friend. I use this pie crust as a replacement for shortcrust or crumbly dough.
In a saucepan, add the sugar, the butter cut into pieces, and the water. Melt over low heat and then bring briefly to a boil. Remove from heat.
Add the flour and baking powder to the saucepan, then mix with a spatula until a ball of dough forms.
Spread this still warm dough into the pie dish (no need to grease the dish) with your fingers, taking care not to make any holes.
To finish, bake in the oven like a shortcrust pastry according to the needs of the recipe.
