Quick recipe that only requires the use of a pot or Dutch oven.
Put all the ingredients in a large pot or a big saucepan except for the pesto, pine nuts, basil leaves, and Parmesan shavings. Season with salt and pepper, then pour in 800 ml of cold water.
Bring to a boil and let cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
To finish, once cooked, let it rest for 2 minutes, then add the pesto, stir a bit, and then add the toasted pine nuts along with a few basil leaves and the parmesan. Serve!
