For those who enjoy sweet and savory flavors, here is my recipe for duck breast with orange and spices. A simple and quick recipe to make, contrary to what one might think! Guaranteed success 😉
Remove excess fat from the meat side of the duck breast using a knife, and score the fat.
Zest the oranges and then squeeze them.
In a saucepan, combine the orange juice, zest, sugar, vinegar, muscat, and spices; bring to a boil over medium heat until you achieve a syrupy sauce (about 10 minutes).
Heat a non-stick skillet and place the duck breast skin-side down, allowing the fat to render at medium heat. Then, turn it over and cook the meat side at low heat for about 5 minutes; the meat should remain pink.
To finish, slice the duck breast crosswise and serve drizzled with orange sauce.
