Turtle cookies to entertain the kids. I made these cookies with my little one during a weekend spent at home.
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Put the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and oil into a mixing bowl and lightly whisk everything together. Add the baking powder and flour, then mix until you obtain a firm dough.
Shape 12 balls the size of a large marble (8 g) for the head and 48 balls the size of a small marble (4 g) for the legs. For the remaining dough, add the cocoa powder that you have mixed with the milk.
Knead until the dough becomes chocolatey. Make 12 balls the size of a large nut (22 g) for the body. Flatten each ball on the grill of your fryer, or draw the stripes of the shell with a knife.
Start by assembling your turtles by placing a ball the size of a large marble on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat to represent the turtle's head, then place 4 balls the size of a small marble behind it to represent the legs. Finally, place the chocolate ball on top of the 5 balls to represent the turtle's shell.
To finish, insert 2 chocolate chips or cloves to represent the eyes and bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven at 180°C. Allow to cool on a rack before enjoying.
