Preheat the oven to 150°C (th 5). Soften the butter in the microwave. Then mix it with the sugar by whisking. Next, incorporate the eggs and finally the flour.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave with 2 tablespoons of water. Pour it into the rest of the mixture. Mix well. Coarsely chop the pecans. Keep about ten whole. Add the chopped pecans to the mixture.
Butter and flour a rectangular baking dish, preferably. Pour the batter into it. Spread whole nuts over the batter. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Check the doneness of the brownie by inserting a toothpick or knife; it should come out slightly moist.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve alone or with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, or custard.
